Toyshoppe Systems, LLC is a creative systems engineering, design, and fabrication workshop featuring the talents of Brent Heyning and a crew of innovators across a range of disciplines. The Toyshoppe team is known as artists, storytellers, makers and go-to-design engineers for making unusual dreams into reality.

Toyshoppe is becoming well known for high end, sophisticated  special effects costumes involving multiple layers of technology, including LED lighting, lasers, video, fog, and more. Toyshoppe brings a unique combination of experience and talent to solve the myriad issues in creating comfortable, wearable technology that consistently works in live performance environments.

Toyshoppe is actively involved in the Space Tourism industry, designing and engineering solutions for an array of hospitality related needs. We are also part of a team fabricating a range of new motors and energy devices, and are getting ready to release several of our own products.

Projects and clients of note include touring production props for DestroidMetallica, Motley Crüe, Aerosmith; Art installations at major festivals such as Coachella and Burning Man; unique stage and screen experiences such as SyFy Channel’s Robot Combat League; Super Bowl Half Time Show with the Black Eyed Peas and Eurovision 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan for the country of Austria.

Brent Heyning is a talented voice over artist, member of IATSE Local 44 in Hollywood and has been featured in print including the Chicago Tribune for his design work and in Entertainment Engineering for his work creating wearable technology for Tron: Legacy. With over 30 films to his credit, his work has grossed over $12Billion at the box office and he is on call as a wizard of Hollywood to top directors worldwide. He is a master with LEDs, wearable power systems and control design, space travel systems design, clean-tech engineering and R&D for rapid prototyping of new inventions. Brent is a special effects systems design engineer with over two decades of production experience. From Star Wars and the Matrix trilogy to The Dark Knight Rises and the latest release of Star Trek: Into Darkness, he engineers models, spaceships, high-tech costumes and unique props for movies, events, concert touring, art installations, and spectacles.
